The easiest way to get to the US Open is by public transportation. Fans can take the 7 subway line or the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Mets-Willets Point, located just steps from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Driving and rideshare options are also available, with parking located in the surrounding area.
The road to the 2026 US Open is growing shorter by the day, and it’s never too early to start planning your visit.
Public Transit
“I highly recommend taking either the 7 train or the Long Island Railroad. Firstly, because you don't have to drive and sit in any traffic at all,” said Chris Studley, managing director of USTA’s Event Services. “And also, when you walk in from the train, you experience the full sense of arrival coming through the main gate, absorbing all elements of the US Open ground—from the smells of our gourmet food to the buzz of the crowd. It's a stress free day when you arrive on mass transit.”
The 7 train provides service from Grand Central Terminal to Mets-Willets Point Station. It also includes connections for all Metro-North Trains from Westchester and Connecticut. Service is also available from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Additionally, the Q90 bus stops nearby on Seaver Way.
For a speedier option, check out the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), which provides quick service to Mets-Willets Point on the LIRR’s Port Washington Branch.
Fan can board the LIRR from:
- Penn Station
- Grand Central Madison
- Woodside
- Any station along the Port Washington Branch
- Transfers from other LIRR branches are available at Woodside.
Check out The MTA website for complete schedules and information about the most convenient ways to get to the US Open.
Once you disembark the train, follow the boardwalk down to the Main Entry gate. Insider tip: Use the official US Open app to check the gate wait times to see which gate has a shorter line.
By car
While public transit is the preferred method for getting to the US Open, rideshare and parking lots are available for those who opt to take a car. All rideshare providers, including black-car services, will drop off and pick up from the parking lot within the NY Hall of Science. There is a direct walking path between the Hall of Science and the Champion’s Entry. A complimentary shuttle will also be available for guests who need assistance to and from the Champion’s Entry.
