On Saturday, Iga Swiatek clinched her third straight Roland Garros title after defeating No. 12 seed Jasmine Paolini, 6-2, 6-1. This is the Pole's fourth time lifting the trophy in Court Phillipe Chatrier and her fifth major title. The world No. 1 is the second player in the Open Era to win all five of her first Grand Slam women's singles finals, joining Monica Seles. She is also the second player to win the Madrid Open, Italian Open and Roland Garros in the same calendar year since the 1000-level tournament format began in 2009.
And after her 21-match winning streak in Paris, Swiatek received congratulations on social media as the reigning queen of clay.
Her Polish compatriots Hubert Hurkacz and Magda Linette congratulated her along with fellow 2022 US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz, and fellow WTA players Caroline Garcia and Daria Saville.
Swiatek also earned kudos from tennis legend Billie Jean King and 2008 Roland Garros champion Ana Ivanovic.

Athletes from other sports took notice, too, such as Polish cyclist Michal Kwiatkowski, and American skier Mikaela Shiffrin.
Congratulations also came in from Polish notables, including the mayor of Warsaw.
And of course, the majors celebrated the five-time Grand Slam champion and all of her successes. Additionally, the International Tennis Hall of Fame noted that she joins two Hall of Famers, Justin Henin and Seles as the only women in the Open Era to three-peat in Paris.
