As the stars of the 2026 US Open stream into town, so do the fashions they’ll wear in Flushing.
And this year, basketball—specifically, the New York Knicks—is having an impact on the fits and kits on court.
As Taylor Townsend posted on Instagram, along with an action shot of her wearing a dress from her New York Knicks-inspired collection: “Crossover game is crazy.”
Carlos Alcaraz played mixed doubles in a mesh basketball-inspired tank in royal purple with shorts that would be as suitable in Madison Square Garden as they were in Arthur Ashe Stadium. His partner was none other than Serena Williams, who wore a coordinated mesh top and black skirt with white piping.
Aryna Sabalenka picked up on mesh madness with the kit she wore for her mixed doubles match. The dress is cut from black mesh worn over a Knicks-orange sports bra and pants.
And if you really want to look like Sabalenka, you’ll spring for the jewelry collection she designed. On court with Novak Djokovic (in white and green; he didn’t get the memo), the world No. 1 women’s singles player sported a necklace, bracelets and earrings bedazzled with some 125 carats of gemstones.
