Doubles world No. 1s Katerina Siniakova and Henry Patten are heading to 2026 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship presented by Vital Proteins®. They’re joined by former doubles world No. 1s Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool, who also made it through two rounds of qualifying at the US Open’s expanded mixed doubles qualifying competition on Monday.
Siniakova and Patten boasted dominating performances in both matches, besting two qualifying wildcard duos—Tatjana Maria/Valentin Vacherot and Americans Peyton Stearns/Christian Harrison—in mirrored straight sets, 4-1, 4-2. The Czech-British team’s victory sets up a high-profile first round match, as they gear up to face top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic.
Meanwhile, Routliffe and Glasspool fought through two tough qualifying matches, both of which were forced into a tiebreak. They overcame a high-powered duo of Luisa Stefani and Neal Skupski in the first round, 4-1, 3-5, [10-7], before clawing through a difficult second round showdown against Kristina Mladenovic and Marcelo Arevalo. In a match that truly looked like anyone’s game, Routliffe/Glasspool found their way through, 5-4(4), 2-4, [11-9]. Now, they’re slated against the highly-anticipated doubles team of Serena Williams and Carlos Alcaraz.
