Aryna Sabalenka, the 2025 US Open women's champion, celebrated her win with a champagne toast, but of course the two-time reigning Queen of Queens had to put her own spin on the festivities.
She walked into her post-match press conference with the goggles on her head and a bottle of champagne in hand, smiling
"Hello everybody, it's going to be a fun media," Sabalenka said, laughing, as she sat down.
Sabalenka also celebrated in the locker room with her team, running into the plastic-covered room with a bottle in hand, sporting her metallic jacket and a pair of ski goggles, spraying her team with champagne while they cheered—and doused her in return. The champ poured the remaining contents of her bottle on her team's heads and in their mouths while they all laughed, soaking in the celebratory moment after a fortnight of hard work.
She then laid down on the floor to do some snow angels, while her team poured champagne on her, before they all clinked their bottles together and took a sip, then tried to drink out of the trophy.
However, Sabalenka wasn't the only one who got in on the fun, as Friday and Saturday's wheelchair champions had champagne celebrations of their own. Niels Vink won both the quad singles and doubles titles and got to have twice the fun, drinking out of his singles trophy after that win, and enjoying his doubles victory with parter Guy Sasson as they sprayed each other, and Vink tried to pour some out on his partner's head. Women's wheelchair doubles champs Wang Ziying and Li Xiaohui clinked their glasses together with a refined "cheers" to celebrate their first US Open doubles title.
Everyone got to celebrate their moment and hard work that went into their wins—and we'll raise a glass to that.
