Defending US Open champion Jannik Sinner is zooming through his opponent each round like a fine Italian sports car.
On Wednesday night under the bright lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium, his quarterfinal match was won in exactly two hours over fellow Italian, No. 10 seed Lorenzo Musetti, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. The match never really seemed in doubt for No. 1 seed Sinner as he served 10 aces and saved all seven break points he faced, while converting five of the six break opportunities he had against Musetti's serve.
Next up in the semifinals on Friday for the four-time major winner is No. 25 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime.
