The men's and women's doubles tournaments at the 2025 US Open have been fast-paced and energetic, fueled by the electricity of the fans at Flushing Meadows. On Wednesday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, we narrowed the men's doubles down to the final four teams and set the stage for the women's final.
No. 14 seeds Yuki Bhambri and Michael Venus needed three sets to overcome Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram. They will next face No. 6 seeds Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski. The other semifinal will feature the 2025 Roland Garros champions Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos against the only unseeded team left in the draw, Americans Robert Cash and JJ Tracy, who have gotten the hometown crowd behind them in each match.
The semifinals of the women's doubles featured each of the top four seeds. The first match featured the 2025 Australian Open champions, No. 1 seeds Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, defeating the 2025 Wimbledon champions, No. 4 seed Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens. The second match saw 2023 US Open champions Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe beat 2025 French Open champions Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini. The final, Siniakova/Townsend vs. Dabrowski/Routliffe, is a rematch of the 2024 Wimbledon final, which saw Siniakova/Townsend lift the trophy.
