2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova held her ground against the power of 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, outlasting her in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. This will be Vondrousova's second time in the quarterfinals here in Flushing Meadows. Vondrousova will face No.1 seed and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka for a spot in the semifinals at the 2025 US Open.
