US Open legends are once again taking the court for the fan-favorite ‘Stars of the Open presented by Chase,’ which returns for a third consecutive year as a must-see exhibition during the first week of the US Open, US Open Fan Week. Stars of the Open will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. inside Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Reigning Roland Garros and 2023 US Open champion Coco Gauff and sensational young talent Joao Fonseca will be joined on the court during Stars by a Hall-of-Fame roster of former US Open champions, including eight-time Grand Slam singles champion Andre Agassi, seven-time Grand Slam singles champions Venus Williams and John McEnroe and former US Open singles champions Andy Roddick and Juan Martin del Potro, as well as American wheelchair stars Dana Mathewson and Casey Ratzlaff.
Those top stars and legends will compete alongside and against one another in a night of entertaining exhibition matches, with surprise appearances from world-famous celebrities. Past Stars of the Open exhibitions have featured NBA superstar Jimmy Butler as a US Open Ball Crew member and multiplatinum recording artist Sebastian Yatra playing doubles alongside Carlos Alcaraz against Butler and Frances Tiafoe.
Tickets are available starting at $25 via USOpen.org and Ticketmaster, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the USTA. The Foundation supports the National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network, a nationwide group of more than 250 youth development organizations that use tennis to help young people from under-resourced communities succeed in life. Through tennis, academic support, and life-skills programs, the Foundation’s NJTL network provides thousands of young people with opportunities to grow into well-rounded adults.
