Jasmine Paolini and Bianca Andreescu met at the third straight Grand Slam on Tuesday at the US Open. In New York, Paolini repeated her winning result from Roland Garros and Wimbledon with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 victory.
Now the fifth-seeded Italian will bid to match—or better—her runner-up finish at the last two majors.
