'Tsitsidosa' is coming to the US Open mixed doubles draw: The off-court couple of Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas are expected to play together at this year's Grand Slam tournament in the Big Apple.
It will be a long-awaited debut for the pair on the Grand Slam match court after two previous withdrawals at Wimbledon last year and Roland Garros this year. The real-life partners started dating in 2023, and rekindled their romance shortly after splitting up this spring. But despite their near-misses at majors, they have experience playing together with a prize at stake: They were winners of the inaugural US Open Mixed Madness event during this year's US Open Fan Week.

In the draw's bottom half, Badosa and Tsitsipas will play Mexicans Giuliana Olmos and Santiago Gonzalez in the opening round.
The draw's top seeds are Gabriela Dabrowski and Joe Salisbury at No. 1, and Erin Routliffe and Michael Venus at No. 2. Other notable teams in the draw include Italians Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori at No. 3 and Wimbledon women's singles winner Barbora Krejcikova and Matthew Ebden at No. 4. No. 5 seeds Desirae Krawczyk and Neal Skupski have won Wimbledon together twice and reached four major finals together in all.
Two all-American pairs among the wild cards are also noteworthy. Ashlyn Krueger will play with former University of TK star Thai-Son Kwiatkowski, who recently announced that he's retiring from tennis. Also paired together are childhood friends Taylor Townsend and Donald Young, as Young returns to the US Open for the first time since 2018.
