At the 2023 US Open, the tennis world’s brightest stars are sporting their boldest kits yet. From Coco Gauff’s tennis-ball-colored ensemble to Carlos Alcaraz’s bicep-baring singlet, here’s what the stars were wearing this tournament.
Aryna Sabalenka was incredibly on-trend during her run in New York, wearing a pink dress and shoes that fit the Barbie trend. She even said that she felt like Barbie in the Nike outfit.
During the women's doubles final, Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski also rocked a pink and white look, reminiscent of "Hi Barbie!" "Hi Barbie!"
While Ben Shelton's black and pink kit didn't give complete Barbie vibes, it did fit the requirements for a "Barbenheimer"-inspired look.
Frances Tiafoe always has great style on and off the court, and it continued at this tournament with customized "Big Foe" headphones and sneakers.
For players who aren't sponsored, the realities of on-court fashion are a little different without several sets of kits to change into during matches. Peyton Stearns embodied this during her fourth round match against Marketa Vondrousova, when she changed from a navy lululemon crop top and skirt into a raspberry red Nike dress.
Inspired by Rafael Nadal, Frances Tiafoe and Carlos Alcaraz both took the court in Nike tank tops, each with a unique pattern in teal, pink, tan and maroon tones.
Coco Gauff stepped out on-court in a tennis-ball yellow corset-esque crop top and skirt. She lit up the US Open during her championship run, and her future is certainly as bright as the kit.
One colorful outfit stood out throughout the tournament, and looked so familiar that the US Open social media team decided to have fun with the technicolor dream shirt.
The outfits and shoes from Adidas this tournament were inspired by Billie Jean King and 50 years of equal prize money. The bright blue tone is similar to the one she wore during the Battle of the Sexes.
Bodysuits and onesies also made a comeback this year, with Taylor Townsend, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki rocking the look in Queens.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of equal prize money and the Battle of the Sexes, fans donned Billie Jean King-inspired sunglasses, and some of the players tried them on during media day.
The US Open Ball Crew is always stylish, decked head-to-toe in Ralph Lauren. This year's look combined the classic navy and green with a splash of neon yellow that stood out during the day and under the lights.
And of course, our champions had amazing looks of their own, ready to sport as soon as they came off the court with their trophy. Novak Djokovic had a "Mamba Mentality" shirt to sport in honor of his friend Kobe Bryant, whose jersey number was 24. He and his team also had white Lacoste quarter-zips with "24" emblazoned on them to commemorate his record-tying 24th Grand Slam singles title.
Gauff's team surprised her with shirts that said "Call me Coco Champion."
