The stars came out on Opening Night at the 2023 US Open, and they did not disappoint.
On a historic evening in Arthur Ashe Stadium, the first night session of the tournament featured a special ceremony that honored Billie Jean King and the 50th anniversary of equal prize money for money and women tennis players at the tournament, which featured Grammy Award-winning singer Sara Bareilles singing her hit song "Brave."
Ahead of the matches, the colors were presented by the FDNY Color Guard and the NYPD Honor Guard, a US Open tradition, and New York City's mayor Eric Adams welcome attendees to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to start the night.
On court, American Coco Gauff faced Laura Siegemund to open the night, while Novak Djokovic made his US Open return against Alexandre Muller to close the evening.
