Monday night in Arthur Ashe Stadium was one for the history books: A record crowd witnessed Serena Williams win the opening match of what’s likely her final professional tournament. Some of the 29,402 fans who packed Ashe for the night session? The first-ever US Open social media influencer suite hosted stars ranging from supermodels and comedians to rappers and food critics.
A diverse group of 15 TikTok, Instagram and Twitter personalities were on-hand to witness Williams’ straight-sets win, including Barstool Sports’ resident tennis fan, Eric Hubbs.
New York fashion and lifestyle influencer Sophia la Corte – a newly-proclaimed “big tennis girl” – enjoyed the view (and food) from a suite inside Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Supermodel Olivia Ponton shared the scenes from the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion’s opening round win with her 3.4 million Instagram followers.
“Overtime Megan” Eugenio attended her second straight US Open as a guest after previously enjoying the suite life in 2021.
TikTok food critic Kelsie Flaim, who boasts 800,000 followers, enjoyed some good eating with a side of tennis.
Even some former US Open champions stopped by thanks to the impressive work of comedian Matt Friend.
Tara Bernstein, who managed the guests in the suite, described it as a space where the influencers were able to connect and collaborate on content.
“The influencers who attended the US Open were thrilled by the matches," she said, "but also the creative space they were able to build with each other.”
The opportunity to witness one of Williams’ final pro matches was not lost on any of the guests.
“To celebrate a woman who inspired a whole generation on and off the court over the last few decades was an honor.”
