The first big upset of the 2022 US Open belongs to Daria Snigur.

The 20-year-old Ukrainian qualifier shocked Simona Halep inside Louis Armstrong Stadium on Day 1, and bounced back from a bagel set to win, 6-2, 0-6, 6-4.
