Beginning Tuesday, 128 men and 128 women will take the US Open match courts bidding for a spot in the main draw. As of now, they'll know who they'll play.
The men's and women's draws for the 2022 US Open Qualifying Tournament were revealed in full on Monday, with France's Constant Lestienne and Romania's Ana Bogdan (pictured above) sitting atop each bracket as the respective No. 1 seeds.
Qualifying matches will be played from Tuesday through Friday, and 16 men and 16 women will secure spots in the Open's main draw by winning three rounds in qualifying.
In draws that are typically dotted with players ranked outside the tours' respective Top 100, Bogdan, ranked No. 65, is one of nine WTA players currently inside the Top 100 that are playing qualifying, while Lestienne is one of five ATP players of similar status. These players were all ranked outside of main-draw cutoff range when entries closed last month, but now benefit from their enhanced rankings as higher seeds.
Bogdan, in fact, went 9-1 in the tournaments she played in the last two weeks: She reached her first WTA tour-level final in Warsaw, Poland, before she captured the WTA 125 Series title, akin to the ATP's Challenger events, on home soil in Iasi, Romania two weeks ago. Lestienne similarly rocketed to the No. 1-seeded position by virtue of winning the ATP Challenger event in Vancouver, Canada last week, and currently sits at a career-high No. 75.

Fifteen American men and 20 women will play for a place in the main draw of their home major. Two are guaranteed a spot in Round 2 of qualifying as the draws feature a pair of all-American matches: On the men's side, Ernesto Escobedo will face wild card Ethan Quinn, while wild cards Elvina Kalieva and Katrina Scott will square off in Round 1 of the women's bracket. Each draw features 32 seeds, and Katie Volynets (No. 13) is the lone American seeded in either draw.
Play will begin each day from Tuesday through Friday at 11 a.m., weather permitting, after gates open at 10 a.m.
