Edward Ubiera is one of 10 diverse and underrepresented artists selected by the USTA to create artwork for the 2021 US Open. Reflecting the artists' unique experiences, the works will be displayed during the two weeks of the event outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium.

About the Artist: Edward Ubiera is a New York-based artist who lives with his wife and his daughters June and Sylvie. Ed grew up in Jersey City and the Dominican Republic, raised on a strict diet of sugary cereals, action figures and skateboarding. His practice focuses on illustration and collage that moves between the figurative, the literal and the abstract. He currently works in drawing, painting, sculpture and print-making.
