With increasing demand, the US Open is the hottest ticket in town every summer. More than 1 million fans attended the 2024 and 2025 events, shattering attendance records.
To help you plan your visit in 2026, here are a few more tips for making the most of your US Open experience.
REVEL IN THE REIMAGINED ASHE: Be among the first to sit in the expanded courtside bowl and new suites in Arthur Ashe Stadium, as the greatest stage in tennis evolves. After year two of a three-year grand makeover, the best seats in the house are now even better!
And don’t forget—an Ashe ticket also gets you access to every court on the grounds!
EARLY-ROUND DEALS ARE SECOND-TO-NONE: The first days of main-draw singles action, featuring first- and second-round play, represent the US Open at its most frenetic, fantastic heights. With a Sunday start this year, the early rounds come around even earlier, beginning on Aug. 30, and last one day longer.
Everywhere you look, there’s tennis, featuring an exciting mix of new faces and established stars. These days are when the drama begins to build, and you can experience so much of that drama up close. There’s nothing quite like it, as every court at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is teeming with talent and the vibe all across the grounds is nothing short of electric.
There are great deals on evening session Arthur Ashe Stadium promenade tickets for the first few nights of the tournament, which always feature some of tennis' top talents.
Grounds passes can also be purchased, providing access to every court and stadium except for Arthur Ashe Stadium—including general admission seating in Louis Armstrong Stadium and Grandstand. Reserved seats in Ashe can be had for just a few dollars more than a grounds pass, so whichever you choose, there's plenty of amazing tennis to be enjoyed.
TRUMPETING THE LOUIS ARMSTRONG STADIUM EXPERIENCE: Not to blow our own horn, but the 14,000-seat Louis Armstrong Stadium is never anything less than an amazing, electric showcase for the game’s top talents. The intimate setting puts fans closer to the action and offers amazing sightlines, each year hosting some of the tournament’s best and most exciting matches. Equipped with a roof just like its big brother, Arthur Ashe Stadium, all Armstrong matches are likewise protected against the elements. Now in its ninth year of existence, Louis Armstrong Stadium is one of the US Open’s true gems, an intimate setting for explosive action. You can access Armstrong with any ticket, including a grounds pass, and take a seat in a non-reserved section in the upper level—or you can purchase reserved seats that get you even closer to the action sitting courtside!
WORKING ON THE NIGHT MOVES: As exciting as the US Open is during the day, there is nothing that compares to the US Open at night. There is a very special glow and a singular sizzle to the event when you see it under the lights. Marquee matches on court, A-list celebs in the crowd, a Honey Deuce™ (or two) to quench your thirst on a toasty late-summer evening: Those are just some of the ingredients that make nights at the Open worth staying up late for. The electricity generated would put most major power plants to shame. You could try to describe it, but no description does it justice. You have to experience it. You’ll never forget it.
SAVE SOME DOLLARS WITH THE QUARTERS: Once the Open turns the corner at Labor Day and heads into the final-week stretch, the event takes on a different personality. It’s quieter off the courts and around the grounds, but inside Ashe, the intensity only increases as the quarterfinals begin. The second Tuesday and Wednesday day sessions (Sep. 8 & 9) in Arthur Ashe Stadium play host to incredible quarterfinal men’s and women’s matches during both the day and night sessions. The action is intense, but not expensive. That’s pretty much the definition of “win-win.”
WITNESS THE STAR-STUDDED MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP: Building off the new-look event’s success in 2025, the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship presented by Vital Proteins will once again be held during the first of the tournament’s three weeks. Set to feature a blockbuster field including teams of top singles players, the mixed matches will be played in Ashe and Armstrong. In addition to playing for the first Grand Slam trophy on offer this summer in New York, teams will also be competing for a hefty winner’s purse—last year’s champs took home $1 million. This fan-favorite event reached capacity last summer, so buy your tickets early to get in on the fun. Tickets start at $30 for Tuesday, Aug. 25, and $45 for Wednesday, Aug. 26.
OPEN FOR ALL: The US Open takes pride in being a leader in equality and inclusion, and will again this year feature the popular HBCU Live at the US Open celebration (Sept. 2) and Open Pride Day (Sept. 3) among the many on-site activations that will celebrate that tennis is open for all.
UPGRADE TO A ‘PREMIER’ EXPERIENCE: New for 2026, US Open Premier is the next evolution of hospitality at the US Open. Offering luxurious suites, premium club spaces and innovative courtside experiences, this elevated collection of private and shared spaces is designed for those seeking the ultimate way to host and experience the tournament from every vantage point.
Experience three updated luxury destinations for the 2026 tournament: The Blue Room, The Club and The Overlook at the US Open. All three packages include admission into one of the three hospitality clubs, and access to coveted courtside seating in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Explore US Open Premier packages.
SAMPLE THE FUN OF FAN WEEK: The US Open is much more than just a tennis tournament; it’s become a full three weeks of unbeatable fun, celebrating the world’s greatest sport! During “Fan Week,” (the first of the US Open’s three weeks), fans can access the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the free-to-watch US Open Qualifying Tournament, as well as player practices.
Also during Fan Week, the ticketed Stars of the Open presented by Chase exhibition will take center stage in Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 27. A separate ticket purchase is required for this marquee evening event, which benefits the USTA Foundation.
UPGRADE IN ASHE: Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket to a private suite in Arthur Ashe Stadium during Fan Week. With this sweet upgrade, fans can watch Stars of the Open, the Mixed Doubles Championship or the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day Stadium Show in supreme style.
RELAX, THERE’S RESALE: You can always secure a verified resale ticket from Ticketmaster, the US Open’s official ticketing partner. Ticketmaster is the only secondary site where purchases are authenticated and verified by Ticketmaster. Of course, on the secondary market, resale ticket prices fluctuate, depending on demand. With a few exceptions, you can usually secure the tickets you want to most sessions.
