Eight became four at the ATP Finals this week as three-time US Open champion Novak Djokovic was presented with the year-end No. 1 trophy for the sixth time in his career, while another US Open champion in Naomi Osaka debuted a new apparel line.
Round-robin play at the Nitto ATP Finals in London finished off on Friday, and Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Daniil Medvedev have moved into the knockout rounds for a chance to be crowned season-ending champion.
Top seed Djokovic already took home a trophy this week, however: after clinching the year-end No. 1 ranking for a sixth time, tying him with American Pete Sampras, the 33-year-old was officially presented the award in London.
The Serb had previously been crowned the ATP's year-end No. 1 in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018.
If you've been watching the action from the O2 Arena stateside, you might've noticed the familiar face of 2003 US Open champion Andy Roddick on the broadcast coverage - but if you're like three-time US Open champion Kim Clijsters, you've also got some important questions for him.
On the women's side, it was a milestone week for two-time Open champion Naomi Osaka away from the court.
The former world No. 1 officially unveiled a signature Nike clothing line this week, complete with her own logo - which is inspired by the Japanese flag.
