Djokovic advances by walkover

Men's top seed Novak Djokovic has advanced to the third round of the 2016 US Open by walkover as his scheduled second-round opponent today, Czech Jiri Vesely, has been forced to withdraw with left forearm inflammation. Replacing the Djokovic-Vesely match as the third match in Arthur Ashe Stadium will be Gael Monfils vs. Jan Satral, which will be relocated from Court 17, not before 3 p.m. ET.
