The US Open may be a few months away, but you can get your first look at the tournament today with the unveiling of the theme art for the final Grand Slam of the 2013 tennis season.
This year’s artwork is the first to feature day and night designs, setting the spectacle of America’s Grand Slam beneath the skyline of its hometown, New York City.
The artwork was designed by renowned artist and designer Gary Townswick and will be incorporated into 2013 US Open promotional materials and publications, including the official tournament guide and tickets, which go on sale to the general public June 10.
"There’s no greater stage in tennis than at the US Open," said USTA Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Gordon Smith. "This year’s theme art is a perfect tribute to the preeminence and wonder of summer days and nights at the US Open in New York City."
