The US Open Qualifying Tournament and the events leading up to the 2017 main draws are combining this year to make up Fan Week, an apt moniker for all the free, fun options available to get you ready for the 2017 US Open.
Fan Week officially begins on Monday, Aug. 21, with the grounds open for fans to watch the best players in the world prepare for this year's Open. Headlining Fan Week is the 2017 US Open Qualifying Tournament, which begins Tuesday, Aug. 22, but there is plenty more to discover.

US Open Qualifying Tournament
When: Tuesday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 25
What: The qualifying tournament, which features 128-player fields for both the men and women and nearly $3 million in prize money, awards the final 16 spots into both the men’s and women’s singles draws. It is free and open to the public.
Watch the Pros Practice
When: Monday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 27
What: In addition to those playing in the qualifying, some of the biggest names in the game descend on the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center the week before the main draw begins to acclimate to the courts and get ready for their first-round matches.
2017 US Open Seeds
When: Wednesday, Aug. 23
What: The 32 seeds for both the men’s and women’s singles draws are announced. They follow the ATP World Tour and WTA rankings as of Monday, Aug. 21.
When: Wednesday, Aug. 23
What: A celebration of the US Open’s home borough, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The event is free and open to the public.
US Open Experience at the Seaport District NYC
When: Thursday, Aug. 24, and Friday, Aug. 25
What: Come get the immersive US Open experience in lower Manhattan, with booths, games, music and more, plus an introduction to Net Generation, the USTA’s new platform that is making it easier for kids and teens to get into tennis.
US Open Draw Ceremony
When: Friday, Aug. 25
What: The official draws for the men’s and women’s singles competitions will be unveiled at the US Open Experience at South Street Seaport.
Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day Powered by Net Generation
When: Saturday, Aug. 26
What: The annual celebration of tennis and families will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, with grounds entertainment all morning open and free to the public and a ticketed stadium show in the afternoon. Click here for more.
