2017 US Open Ballperson Tryouts

Welcome to the homepage for the 2017 US Open Ballperson Tryouts. The first round of tryouts for the 2017 US Open have been completed. Below is a recap of this year's event:

2017 Event Information

What: Approximately 80 sought-after positions as ballpersons for the 2017 US Open are up for grabs. Prospective ballpersons will be evaluated by US Open officials on their running, throwing and catching skills.

Before arriving for the tryout, please download and sign the 2017 US Open Ballpersons Audition Release and Waiver Agreement. Click here to access the waiver.

IMPORTANT: You MUST bring a completed and signed waiver in order to participate in the tryouts. Furthermore, all applicants between the ages 14-17 MUST have a legal guardian sign the form in order to participate. No exceptions.

Who: Ages 14 and older trying out for the coolest summer job in sports.

When: Monday, June 26, 2017.General Public Open Tryouts: 3 p.m. ET registration.

Registration line for the general public begins forming at 3 p.m. Evaluation process will begin at approximately 4 p.m., after a welcome by US Open Ballperson Director Tina Taps and a veteran ballperson demonstration.

Where: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing, N.Y.

- US Open ballpersons are paid an hourly wage.

- Ralph Lauren is the official outfitter of the US Open ballpersons.

- The 2017 US Open Qualifying Tournament will be held Tuesday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 25. The 2017 US Open main draw will be held Monday, Aug. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 10.                      

- General tickets for the 2017 US Open go on sale Monday, June 12, at 9 a.m. ET. Tickets for the 2017 US Open can be purchased:
