How can I purchase individual US Open tickets?
2010 US Open Tickets can be purchased several different ways. They can be purchased by visiting either www.usopen.org or www.Ticketmaster.com. They can also be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet location or by visiting the Box Office located at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. How do I purchase good seats?
Each year, the US Open continues to grow in popularity, and demands for tickets increases, as well. Tickets to certain sessions can sell out shortly after they go on sale. In order to obtain a good seat to the US Open, you can become a Full Series Ticket Subscription holder. As a Series Ticket holder, you can gain the opportunity through a series of yearly renewals to upgrade your seat. All first-year Series Ticket Holders have the opportunity to start out in the Lower Promenade Level.
How do I obtain disabled seating?
The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is wheelchair accessible, with ramps, elevators and escalators, and offers wheelchair accessible seating in two levels of Arthur Ashe Stadium and one level of Louis Armstrong Stadium, all subject to availability. If you need assistance of any kind, please contact Customer Service at 718-760-6363.
How come I booked my tickets early and my seats are so far away?
All seating is sold on a best-available basis. Season ticket holders make up for the vast majority of the lower-level seats in Ashe Stadium. To become a season ticket holder, please visit the Ticket Section on www.usopen.org.
How many matches are played in Arthur Ashe Stadium during a given session?
The schedule for each day's matches is posted on www.usopen.org the night before they occur. Traditionally during the Day Session, there are three matches played in Ashe Stadium. During the evening, there are typically two matches played in Ashe Stadium. This is subject to both weather and schedule changes. Ultimately, the number of matches is determined by the Referee's Office and is subject to change at any time.
What are the different types of Day Session tickets?
There are three different types of Day Session tickets. They are as follows:
- Arthur Ashe Stadium - Provides an assigned seat in the main stadium along with first-come, first-served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and all of the field courts.
- Louis Armstrong Stadium (reserved seating) - Provides an assigned seat in the Loge level of Louis Armstrong Stadium, along with first-come, first-served access to the Grandstand and all of the field courts. Louis Armstrong tickets are only sold for the first nine days of the tournament.
- Grounds Admission (General Admission) - Provides first-come, first-served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and all of the field courts. Grounds Admissions are only sold for the first eight days of the tournament.
Can I get into Arthur Ashe Stadium with a Grounds Admission ticket?
No, the only tickets that permit access into Arthur Ashe Stadium is an Arthur Ashe Stadium ticket.
What are the different types of Evening Session tickets?
There is only one type of Evening Session ticket. It is as follows:
- Arthur Ashe Stadium - Provides an assigned seat in the main stadium for any matches scheduled to take place in Ashe Stadium on a given evening.
When does the night session end?
The night session ends officially after the evening matches conclude (traditionally around 10 or 11 p.m.).
Are there any Grounds Admission tickets released on the day of the event?
Each day there will be a LIMITED number of Grounds Admission tickets held over to be sold on the day of the event. The number does vary, and it does depend on the number of tickets sold in advance. Ultimately, the number of Grounds Admission tickets sold is determined at the discretion of the Facility Manager.
Are there any senior or student discounts?
There are no current senior citizen or student discounts available.
Is it safe to buy tickets on-line?
Ticketmaster is the authorize seller for US Open tickets on-line. The USTA has partnered with TicketsNow, a Ticketmaster Company, to serve as the exclusive resale partner for the US Open. US Open patrons now have the opportunity to resell their unused tickets in a secured fan-to-fan environment, sanctioned by the USTA. There are many websites that may look very legitimate, but they are not affiliated in any way with the USTA.
How many tickets can I buy at once?
For individual sessions, customers may order up to the following at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster:
- Eight (8) tickets for any day session
- Sixteen (16) day session tickets in total
- Eight (8) tickets for any individual night session
- Sixteen (16) night session tickets in total
- Eight (8) grounds admission passes per session
- Sixteen (16) grounds admission passes in total
Why are there ticket limits in place?
Ticket sales limits are in place to ensure that all of our customers can receive equal access to US Open tickets.
Do you offer any ticket plans?
We do offer ticket plans. You automatically retain the right to renew the same seats on a yearly basis. The plans range from a combination of a few day and evening sessions all the way to a full series, which encompasses the full two weeks of the US Open.
I would like to purchase the same seat as last year. How can I do so?
You can do so by purchasing a Full Series or a Mini-Plan ticket package through the USTA. That way you will be automatically invoiced for the same seat the following year. You also have the same seat for the duration of your plan. Please visit the Tickets section on www.usopen.org, and click under the Tickets section to find out more about the list of benefits you gain by becoming a Full Series subscriber.
Do you have any group discounts or packages, and how can I find out more information?

Is there any on-site ticket upgrade?
Ticket holders may upgrade their tickets at the Ticket Upgrade Booth for an additional cost. All available seats are released to the Upgrade Booth the day of the session. Located inside the East Gate adjacent to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Box Office, the Upgrade Booth is open from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. daily. You may also visit the Ticket Upgrade Booth to purchase tickets for the remaining sessions of the 2010 US Open. Upgrades are subject to availability.
If tickets aren't on sale yet, how come I can visit websites that seem to have tickets available?
There are many websites across the Internet that advertise US Open tickets. The USTA highly advises against purchasing tickets through these unauthorized sites. TicketsNow is our official ticket resale partner, Steve Furgal's International Tennis Tours and Grand Slam Tennis Tours are official travel partners of the USTA and US Open.
Can I purchase a ticket from a ticket subscriber?
Yes, you can. There is a special section on the Tickets page of www.usopen.org that allows you to purchase a US Open ticket directly from a subscriber. Please check this section often, as the listing of available tickets changes quite often
If I purchase tickets in person at the National Tennis Center Box Office, are they any better than what I can buy through Ticketmaster?
No, they are exactly the same as the type of tickets that can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster and the USTA both work off of the same networked computer system for whatever Ticketmaster has; the same exact seating is available at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center's Box Office.
Can I leave a ticket to be picked-up at a will call window?
Due to overwhelming volume, the East Gate Will Call window does not accommodate subscribers (including box holders, series and all ticket plan holders) or individual ticket purchasers. We will continue to service the following:
- All members of the USTA committees
- Sponsors and corporate hospitality clients
- Members of the media, umpires and staff
What is the earliest time I can get into the gates?
The earliest you can enter the grounds is at 10 a.m. for the Day Session and 6 p.m. for the Evening Session. On the final Sunday, the earliest you can enter the grounds is 11 a.m.
I lost my ticket. Is there anything that can be done?
Individual tickets purchased at the box office or through Ticketmaster outlets will NOT be replaced under any circumstance. If tickets are available, the box office will try to accommodate the customer with new tickets to purchase.
For individual tickets purchased through Ticketmaster phone or Internet, the purchaser must contact Ticketmaster's customer service phone center in order to make arrangements for tickets to be reprinted at the Box Office on the day of the session in question. The original purchaser must bring identification and the original credit card used in order for the tickets to be reprinted.
What is the minimum age for a child to require a ticket?
Children 24 months and older require a full-price ticket.
Stadium Information
Are there any shady sections of Arthur Ashe Stadium?
At certain times during the Day Session, the sun will cast its shadow over the south, southwest and western sides of Ashe Stadium.
How many total courts are there on the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center?
There are three “show courts,” 15 field courts and seven practice courts.
Where is the chair umpire located?
Even with the net line on the west side of the court.
Tournament Information
I want to see Roger Federer (or any other player). When is he playing?
The US Open Championships is an elimination tennis tournament. Due to this fact, the draw for each day will not be announced until the night before each match. It is not possible to purchase tickets in advance for a specific player. Tickets are sold on a session-by-session basis.
Are there any hotels close by?
There are many nearby hotels, some of which offer a shuttle bus service to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center during the US Open. Please check with the hotel to make sure that they offer this service or that they offer access to an alternative means of transportation. Both the Long Island Rail Road and the #7 MTA Subway train stop at Flushing Meadows, so staying in either Manhattan or Long Island are also possibilities. Below is a short list of nearby hotels:

Where is the best place to park? Do you sell on-site parking?
Public parking is relegated to CitiField main parking lots EXCEPT for the dates that the New York Mets are playing at home.
When do the draws or seedings come out for this year's tournament?
The seeds traditionally are announced approximately a week before the start of the tournament and will be listed on www.usopen.org. The draws will be listed on www.usopen.org approximately the evening before they are scheduled to be played.
Are there any new security measurements in place this year?
The Security regulations can vary from year to year. To obtain the latest information, visit www.usopen.org and click on the "Visiting The Open" Section.
Is there a way to see any of the qualifying rounds of the US Open?
The US Open Qualifying Tournament is held starting the last Tuesday (Aug. 24, 2010) before the start of the US Open, ending on Friday (Aug. 27, 2010) of the same week. Gates open at 10 a.m.
