1. How can I purchase US Open tickets?
2006 US Open Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the public on Monday, June 12. Once on sale, US Open tickets can be purchased several different ways. They can be purchased by visiting either www.USOpen.org or www.Ticketmaster.com. They can also be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster location or by visiting the Box Office located at the National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
2. How do I purchase good seats?
Each year the US Open continues to grow in popularity and demands for tickets increase. Tickets to certain sessions sell out shortly after they go on sale. In order to obtain a good seat to the US Open you can become a Full Series Ticket Subscription holder. As a Series Ticket holder, you can gain the opportunity through a series of yearly renewals to upgrade your seat. All first year Series Ticket Holders have the opportunity to start out in the Lower Promenade Level.
3. How many matches are played in Arthur Ashe Stadium during a given session?
The schedule for each day’s matches is posted on www.USOpen.org the night before they occur. Traditionally, during the Day Session there are three matches played in Ashe Stadium. During the evening there are typically two matches played in Ashe Stadium. This is subject to both weather and schedule changes. Ultimately, the number of matches is determined by the Referee’s Office and is subject to change at any time.
4. Are there any shady sections of Arthur Ashe Stadium?
At certain times during the Day session, the sun will cast its shadow over the South, Southwest and Western sides of Ashe Stadium.
5. How do I obtain handicapped seating?
The USTA National Tennis Center is wheelchair accessible with ramps, elevators, and escalators, and offers wheelchair accessible seating in two levels of Arthur Ashe Stadium and one level of Louis Armstrong Stadium, all subject to availability. If you need assistance of any kind, please contact Customer Service at 718-760-6200 menu option #1.
6. Why are my seats so far away even though I booked my tickets early?
All seating is sold on a best available basis. Season Ticket/ Full Series Subscription Holders make up for the vast majority of the lower level seats in Ashe Stadium. To become a Season Ticket/ Full Series Subscription Holder, please visit the Ticket Section on www.USOpen.org.
7. Are there any senior or student discounts?
There are no senior citizen or student discounts currently available.
8. I want to see Andre Agassi (or any other player), when is he playing?
The US Open Championships are an elimination tennis tournament. For this reason, the draw for each day will not be announced until the night before each match. It is not possible to purchase tickets in advance for a specific player. Tickets are sold on a session by session basis.
9. What are the different types of Day Session tickets?
There are three different types of Day Session tickets. They are as follows:
Arthur Ashe Stadium – Provides an assigned seat in the main stadium along with first come first served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, The Grandstand and all of the field courts.
Louis Armstrong Stadium (reserved seating) - Provides an assigned seat in the Loge level (either sections 124-125 or 104-105) of Louis Armstrong Stadium along with first come first served access to The Grandstand and all of the field courts. Louis Armstrong tickets are only sold for the first nine days of the tournament.
Grounds Admission (General Admission, Grounds Pass) – Provides first come first served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, The Grandstand and all of the field courts. Grounds Admissions are only sold for the first eight days of the tournament.
10. Can I get into Arthur Ashe Stadium with a Grounds Pass?
No, the only ticket that permits access into Arthur Ashe Stadium is an Arthur Ashe Stadium ticket.
11. How many total courts are there on the grounds of the National Tennis Center?
There are three “show courts”, 15 field courts and 7 practice courts.
12. Are there any hotels close to the National Tennis Center?
There are many nearby hotels, some of which offer a shuttle bus service to the National Tennis Center during the US Open. You can check with the individual hotels to make sure they offer this service or have access to an alternative means of transportation. Both the Long Island Rail Road and the #7 MTA Subway train stop at Flushing Meadows so staying in either Manhattan or Long Island are also possibilities. Below is a short list of nearby hotels:

13. Where is the best place to park? Do you sell on-site parking?
Public parking is relegated to Shea Stadium main parking lots EXCEPT for the dates that the New York Mets are playing at home.
14. Where is the chair umpire located?
Even with the net line on the West side of the court.
15. Is it safe to buy tickets on-line?
The only authorized seller for US Open Tickets on-line is Ticketmaster. There are many websites that may look very legitimate but they are not affiliated in any way with the USTA.
16. How many tickets can I buy at once?
For individual sessions, customers may order up to the following at the USTA National Tennis Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster:
Four (4) tickets for any day session
Eight (8) day session tickets in total
Ten (10) tickets for any individual night session
Twenty (20) night session tickets in total
Twenty eight (28) tickets in total per order
17. Are there any places I could go in person to purchase tickets?
You can visit any Ticketmaster outlet or the Box Office located at the East Gate at the National Tennis Center.
18. When does the night session end?
The night session ends officially after the evening matches conclude (traditionally around 10pm or 11pm).
19. Does Ticketmaster have an international number?

20. Do you offer any ticket plans?
We do offer ticket plans. Each plan can be renewed on a yearly basis (the same seats). The plans range from a combination of a few day and evening sessions all the way to a full series, which encompasses the full two weeks of the US Open.
21. Do you have any group discounts or packages? Where can I go for more information?

22. When do the draws or seedings come out for this year’s tournament?
The seeds are traditionally announced approximately one week before the start of the tournament and will be listed on www.USOpen.org. The Draws are traditionally listed on www.USOpen.org the evening before they are scheduled to be played.
23. Can I be placed on your mailing list?
To be placed on the US Open Ticket Mailing list, please call Customer Service at 718-760-6200 menu option #1 and ask to be placed on our mailing list.
24. Is there any on-site ticket upgrade?
Ticket holders may upgrade their tickets at the Ticket Upgrade Booth for an additional cost. All available seats are released to the Upgrade Booth the day of the session. Located inside the East Gate, adjacent to the USTA National Tennis Center Box Office, the Upgrade Booth is open from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm daily.
25. Are there any new security measures in place this year?
The Security regulations can vary from year to year. To obtain the latest information visit www.USOpen.org and click on Visiting the Open, then Security Information.
26. Are there any Grounds Admission passes released on the day of the event?
Each day there will be a LIMITED number of Grounds Admission passes sold on the day of the event. The number varies and depends on the number of passes sold in advance. Ultimately, the total number of Grounds Admission passes sold is determined by the Facility Manager.
27. If tickets aren’t on sale yet, why are there websites advertising available tickets?
There are many websites across the Internet that advertise US Open tickets. These are broker sites and are not affiliated with the United States Tennis Association. When you purchase tickets from these sites you are taking a personal risk. The USTA advises against purchasing tickets through these unauthorized sites. 28. I would like to purchase the same seat as last year, how can I do so?
You can do so by purchasing a Full Series or a Mini-Plan ticket package through the USTA. You will have the same seat for the duration of your 2006 plan, and be automatically invoiced for the same seat the following year. 29. If I purchase tickets in person at the USTA National Tennis Center Box Office, are they any better than tickets purchased through Ticketmaster?
No, they are not. Ticketmaster and the USTA both work from the same computer network. At any given time, the selection of tickets available through Ticketmaster are exactly the same as the selection of tickets that can be purchased at the USTA National Tennis Center.
30. Why are there ticket limits in place?
Ticket limits are in place to ensure that all of our customers can receive equal access to US Open tickets.
31. Is there a way to see any of the Qualifying Rounds of the US Open?
The US Open Qualifying Tournament is held starting the last Tuesday (August 22, 2006) before the start of the US Open, ending on Friday (August 25, 2006) of the same week. Gates open at 10:00 am. Admission to the Qualifying Tournament is free.
32. Can I leave a Ticket to be picked-up at a Will Call Window?
Due to overwhelming volume, the East Gate Will Call window does not accommodate subscribers (including box holders, series, and all ticket plan holders) or individual ticket purchasers. We will continue to service the following:
• All members of the USTA family
• Sponsors and corporate hospitality clients
• Members of the media, umpires and staff
33. What is the earliest time I can get into the gates?
The earliest you can enter the grounds is at 10:00 am for the Day Session and 6:00 pm for the Evening Session. On final Sunday, the earliest you can enter the grounds is 11:00 am.
34. I lost my ticket, is there anything that can be done?
Individual tickets purchased at the box office or through Ticketmaster outlets will NOT be replaced under any circumstance. If tickets are available, the box office will try to accommodate the customer with new tickets to purchase.
For individual tickets purchased through Ticketmaster phone or Internet, the purchaser must contact Ticketmaster’s customer service phone center in order to make arrangements for tickets to be reprinted at the Box Office on the day of the session in question. The original purchaser must bring identification and the original credit card used in order for the tickets to be reprinted.
35. Can I purchase a ticket from a ticket subscriber?
Yes, you can. There is a special section on the Tickets page of www.USOpen.org which allows you to purchase a US Open ticket directly from a subscriber. Please check this section often as the listing of available tickets change frequently.
36. What is the minimum age for a child to require a ticket?
Children 24 months and older require a full price ticket.
